Getting Around Cardiff

Being relatively compact, Cardiff can easily be explored on foot however the city also has great transport links. With Cardiff Airport only half an hour away from the city centre it is convenient for international travellers. The main train station, Cardiff Central, is located within the city centre and only a 20 minute walk from the university. Cardiff Queen Street and Cardiff Bay train stations also make the city easily accessible by train networks.

Train

The venue is about a 20 minute walk or 10 minute drive from Cardiff Central station in the city centre.

Cathays station in Cardiff is the closest station to the venue. It is about a 3 minute walk from the station to the School of Biosciences.

Car

Unfortunately there are no parking facilities at The School of Biosciences.

There is pay and display parking available in the surrounding area, particularly on Park Place and Museum Avenue (the 2 roads either side of the Sir Martin Evans Building).

There are also NCP car parks available on Dumfries Place and Greyfriars, as well as Castle Mews parking on North Road.

Plane

Cardiff Airport is located about 12 miles from the city centre making it easily accessible by bus, train and car.

The venue is about a 35 minute drive from Cardiff Airport.
